I heard on the news that one album sold seven million copies worldwide. She made a lot of money, and it goes to prove that money does not guarantee happiness.
Apparently she gave half of it away anyhow. She did have a very good side, despite her problems.
Sinead, 54, explained: “I didn't burn through it, I made about 10 million quid, I gave away half of it because I had promised a priest when I was a kid I would payback for money I had stolen, which is all in the book. “So I gave away half of it and was able to make money again by touring.".

I know from close personal association from someone all about the appalling conditions and abuse suffered by orphans whilst under the care of the Catholic church.
The nuns were nothing but evil twisted sadists, that would treat already traumatised children like they were inhuman and utterly worthless. Already traumatised Kids who required love and care got the complete and utter opposite of
A typical piano lesson involved punishment beatings when a wrong note was played. That was guaranteed because of the anxious state kids were in knowing beforehand that any excuse would be used to 'beast' them.

Most religions have dark secrets but the Catholic faith is on a different level . The Duplessis orphans in Canada where 20,000 orphans were wrongly declared mentally unstable so the church could receive subsidies from the Canadian government , that's one example of the corruption within the religion , notably most of the too many such examples involve children
"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."

Didn’t know that boundy. Not for nothing do I have full contempt for religion and those who proselytise others Our own Christian missionaries should never have gone into the Dark Continent . However the Catholic Church in Ireland is part of the very fabric of society and the cover up of abuse is self evident and sickening

My aunty married an irish man, absolutely lovely fella, his own sister was forced into a nunnery because she got pregnant at 17. That was in the 60's and very recently she actually left the nunnery.
Her story is also one of abuse, of almost ritualistic beatings and other abuses by the sisters carried out over decades.
Just one of many reasons why i turn my back on any orhanised religion. These supranational cults are hardly of love or support, it's more about fear and obeyance.
A truly loving god would never let his "servant" visit so much pain and suffering on anybody et alone children,
Matthew 19:14 King James Version. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

That could have been me posting that . I have a detestation of religion that’s hard to bear at times I see it ruining this life and any afterlife

Until not so long back I thought that all Christian religion was the greatest good and love of all.
After hearing all these stories and personally encountering a Presbyterian pair who latter went on to rejoice about covid, I now see a lot of them as being no different and medieval/wicked with their beliefs as ISIS.
And boy when it comes to sharing out church money for superfluous made-up jobs for the boys and girls instead of it going directly to the poor, some are absolute masters at it. It's an absolute racket a lot of the times also, that aside there are other Christians that are the total opposite of the despicable vermin whose God seems on par with the devil himself.

I have come to think of it this way, what if the devil is the good guy? What if God is the one responsible for all the pain and suffering but the devil provide fun and happiness?
Given the evidence, it's a hard call.

God s punishment for us turningbour backs on him Innit
She was completely cancelled after ripping up the photo of the pope on SNL. Shows cancelling isn’t a new phenomenon.
At that point (1992) fundamental Islam and its associated terrorism was yet to hit the west in the way it has done since. IMO the Catholic religion had been the most damaging of all for the previous 500 years.
She was incredibly brave to highlight it.

When she sung Foggy Dew for the Connor McGregor entrance for UFC 189 has to be up there as one of the most spine tingling and epic sporting moments even if you are not a UFC fan and have never seen it it is well worth taking a look.

Pete Green (Feetwood Mac ) for me , a life destroyed chasing the fairies and the meaning of life .
Morning Boundy Another trueism. Brilliant musician
I remember Jim morrison dying and how he destroyed all his talent and the band by pure nihilism and self obsession. I’ve been to Pere Lachaise and the queue to view his very modest grave is always considerable . Forkin drugs . Don’t use em kids
