If he does well we will make money, if he doesn't it's no loss.

The point is he might fail at Brentford whereas he could have made it with us, where he is developing so well.

I hope he has made the right choice, but i am not sure he has.

I generally do not like the idea of the Swansea academy stars being cherry picked by a system set up to favour the bigger clubs. The biggest clubs make their own rules within a loose framework cheating by using dubious accountancy methods.

How did Ampadu benefit by going to Chelsea. He hardly played for them over 5-6 seasons. I believe he would have been better to concentrate on his personal development.

Swansea seemed to have made a good offer to keep him but he has no local loyalties. Swansea have kept almost all of their prospects until they are 22-23.

This is why a wage cap needs to come in to play.

There should be a limit of players you can loan out and if players are not involved in the first team squad for a set amount of games then they can't be paid over a set amount(injuries aside of course).

There is a new development of "football talent harvesting".

Chelsea made a clear financial gain on Ampadu (£10m+) with transfer fees and loan fees with no intention of him ever playing for them.

Buy a calf put it out to grass for three season fatten him up and sell for notional slaughter.
