What's alleged is what allegedly the other side did the other way around, the day before I was reading about what you was reading about, I had read the same thing about a 12 year old Palestinian girl and what IDF soldiers had done to her, Iike you on that occasion I could not finish the article, i dont think what i read was after 7th October either but before that date but not years and years ago.
This is not an opening salvo, hundreds of Palestinians had been killed this year alone before October 7th, the way our media cover the conflict it gives the impression that one side did something and the other side reacted that is not the full story or context.

I would not say it is in anyway definitive that we in Europe have learnt to live in a civilised way and that the Middle East is centuries behind. There is a huge war raging between two of Europe's largest countries at this moment in time between Russia and the Ukraine, in the 90s there was full scale war in Yugoslavia, France has had a go in North Africa and Indo China, England in the North of Ireland, two World wars centred around Europe in the last hundred years or so, European countries getting involved in the Middle East in the last few decades. I don't think it's cut and dried to make a definite call to say Europe is civilised and the Middle East is not, perhaps both are uncivilised.

I'm on about current times not times when Israel was not even created. Read up on the origins of the first world war when European countries with their empires were itching to fight each other. The killing of Arch Duke Franz Ferdinand was the excuse for Austria Hungarian and the Germans needed. Attitudes from the political and upper echelons were so different from today. Yes we had the break up of the Balkans. That's was always a potential powder keg. As for Russia, to me personally have always been outsiders.

So called is quite obviously a term questioning a subject,in this case persecution of the Jews not just in WW 11 but in bygone centuries. People questioning this are without doubt either racist or plain stupid or both . You took it the wrong way, the Jews have historically been persecuted, what the English did to them back in the day was terrible, what the Germans did to them in world war two was awful. But are they persecuted now ?, they are and have been at the top in the Tory and Labour parties in recent times and at the top of the English fa in recent times as well as every other aspect of life, that is why I said historically persecuted group because I don't think they are persecuted now.

In the 40s Jewish terrorist groups were killing British soldiers, before the creation of Israel, as regards the first world war, Jews fighting for the Kaiser against our soldiers was just an accident of birth, there was some on our side but because of their location lots of them fought for the Kaiser because they were German born.
