| Liam Cullen linked to Hull on 09:09 - Dec 29 by jackrmee | All this 👆 Plus he’s vey loyal. He’s still on a ridiculously low wage. Give him a new contract. He is a decent squad player, who, like many have said, can be a very good player when played correctly. Myko needs to be given some time upfront I believe, with Culs or Yates alongside and the other on the bench, ready to pounce. We can’t afford to get rid of Cullen and bring in a loan player to replace him |

They tried this with Potter and we ended up the McKay and some other poor players. Levien employed the recruitment and signed off the players. Cooper played Morris who was from Seattle Sounders. He got a serious injury and labelled a 'Yankee crock'. Englishman Gibbs White got seriously injured and was labelled 'unlucky'. |
Ah so you admit that the shocking recruitment over the last few years is down to poor decisions by the ownership, glad we're agreed on that

I am not a defender of the ownership. I want to be fair to them however. Both they and Huw Jenkins made transfer mistakes. Martin actually did quite well with Wood and Downes. Darling is improving and he did not pay a fortune for a reserve Keeper Fisher. Patterson is Patterson and Walsh is a fine footballer but injury prone . It is clear to me they are trying to get things right and shown their commitment with cash and quality people on the ground. I have been positive and asked the club and Mr Watson to think "long term". Parker came on and is probably comparable with Ashby and younger. Cooper / Duff a are short term managers and not suitable to the club. The club a cannot buy its way to success or succeed developing other teams players. Sheehan has spent hours apparently working on Patino who may be off in January. He was effectively working for Arsenal to polish their players so they can sell him. Excuse me this is not the sort of "business culture" I support.

It's difficult to imagine a manager staying 5 years here. The job of the owners is to have consistency in appointments so that the playing style is maintained through the changes and the players are well versed in the style They're asked to implement. Martin to Duff was just plain stupid.

Martin was thinking about the long term in signing Downes, Darling and Wood. All were raw cheap had issues and needed work. Ideal Swansea signings. Hopefully Njoe Kukharevic and Tymon will work hard and prove good assets.

Would like to see more of Kuharevich has only been given little game time but he got injured but back now, wasn't he struck down by the sickness bug the last game? Might be time to play him a little more, he looks strong, mobile and managed to get the ball quickly out to the wings when he came on.I know it is different when a player comes off the bench and make an impact, I would like to see how would he deal with a start and 70 minutes plus.

100% It’s a shame he hasn’t got up to speed yet. From what I have seen, he could be a huge threat and a good signing. We do still have a decent team. Defo need some help up top though.

Parker, Walsh, Patterson with Kukharevych up front would be very interesting. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We desperately need extra pace and delivery from the flanks. Bolassie has been a huge disappointment. Lowe has done OK. Ginelly a massive loss.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

I put a video of Bolasies's best bits in Turkiye on here. I watched for 5 minutes and did not see any highlights. If there is nothing in a highlights reel then there have to be questions. [Post edited 31 Dec 2023 15:09]

The thing there was, the manager wanted Gibbs-White but he didn't want the American player. Not that I remember anyone calling him a yankee crock though he did have an extensive injury history on arrival here. And again, the term Yankee isn't actully disparaging, apart from how you yourself interpret it, otherwise there wouldn't be a Baseball team caled the NY Yankees.
