They dictate what can be reported as reporters are not permitted on the front lines.if reporters are on the Ukrainian side they will be given the info by the Ukrainian military and the same on the Russian side. They then pool their info and write their own versions. It’s been this way since ww2, it’s called the British pool system

Even during WW1, footage of troops going over the top was re-created as it was to dangerous for reporters. With their huge cameras and tripods, plus reels of films.

That's laughable. To start with when the Ukraine war was started by Russia it was on the news every day, there were new reports at every broadcast. That changed when Gaza happened and it took over the headlines
