| Matt O'Riley on 14:32 - Jan 25 with 983 views | RichardO | If we have so many loanees in the team how can we develop our younger players to make a profit on them. Maybe the club loaning the player out should be forced to pay a "training" fee to the clubs that take their young players on and a sell on fee especially as the top teams are tieing so many good young players up. Or do we give our on young signings some first team experience so they can learn by their mistakes the same way as some of our loaned in players are doing you never know how a young player is going to develop, if he gets put in the deep end and sinks he will know he needs to work harder, if he impresses then he will learn of the older players, a win either way. I know the under 21s seem to have game which come thick and fast but it does seem as if the team is changed on a regular basis to give them all experience but does this let's us try and be fair to everyone approach work? A consistent team at under 21s surely benefits the first team as the better players step up instead of being rotated. We have seen Parker step up and make a difference in the short term, do we give Kuharevich time to show what he can do, similarly the couple of appearance by Obegeta showed promise with good speedy wing play with two out of three cross being delivered well into space behind the defence only for our forward line being stunned that a ball has come in so quickly and have been rooted to the spot. Give our youngsters a start instead of loan players who have the same limited match day experience. | | | |

I believe O'Riley may have been keen to be reunited with RM in early 2022. | | | |

Yes shocking tackle, he was later booked and then taken off before being sent off. Now been revealed he's had surgery on his ankle, surely the thug that inflicted the injury should serve a retrospective ban [Post edited 29 Aug 2024 10:57]
