| The Ashes π on 09:50 - Nov 22 with 2166 views | trampie | What a win by Australia, the English have lost a test match inside 2 days, Australia had front line bowlers missing, England yet again won the toss but Australia somehow beat them inside 2 days. I am on the case around English media hype surrounding English national teams in sports and that most of the time English national teams are not as good as they are msde out to be but I didn't see this absolute hammering for England, lose ok - Australiawere slight favourites but it was a hammering in the end, its only the first test so England can and might still win the series but what a beating. | |

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I remember the reports coming out sometime afterwards that Lillee and Marsh had won a fortune betting on their own team to lose during the match itself, when the odds reached 500-1 they lumped on and Australia unbelievably lost when it seemed certain they would win.

| The Ashes π on 11:19 - Nov 24 with 1539 views | streetlyjack | Bazball is not really the answer to beating the Aussies in Australia. Trying to drive a moving ball is just madness as those who have played cricket will know, take a look and get your bat out of the way.....the fact they all continued to bat like this in both innings was crazy. My son plays U16 county cricket and all the coaches are currently interested in are the lads who can hit the ball miles even if they only fire once in a while. No focus anymore on gritty players who can build an innings and dig in when the pitch or bowling is lively (Joe Root is the exception). Test cricket needs to last longer than 2 days for its own future benefit. The ACB now has to refund over Β£4m worth of tickets for the remaining few days play lost and also take the hit on lost revenue which would have been significant from another 3 days of boozing and eating. Bazball is costing test cricket an absolute fortune | |

Its getting bums on seats in this country and England are 2nd in the ICC test rankings so its not all bad, Root and Brook are one and two in the test batting rankings and Duckett is in the top 10 so they are not throwing away their wickets. I'm not complaining if the ACB lost Β£3M, they didn't have to Bowl England out so quickly.

Not a huge surprise, but Woody is out of this one. If we could just get that win I really think the Aussies are beatable, especially without Cummins & Hazlewood & potentially Lyon. My head still telling me 4/5-0 though lol
| The Ashes π on 08:05 - Dec 1 with 817 views | mangohilljack | After a remarkable streak of 31 unbeaten Tests at the Gabba, Australia have now won only 2 of their last 5 matches in Brisbane - a dramatic shift for what was once considered an impenetrable fortress. On the flip side, their dominance in dayβnight cricket remains unrivalled, with the Aussies winning 12 of their 13 pink-ball Tests on home soil. As for the conditions: itβs absolutely scorchio. Sweltering heat and heavy humidity, with plenty of massive storms rolling through and hailstones in the 5β8 cm range. Chaotic Queensland weather. | | | |
| The Ashes π on 09:52 - Dec 3 with 563 views | shandyjack | very much winnable, but they have to combine Baz ball with sensible play. See Starc out ( easier said than done i know) cummins if he plays won't be up to full speed and hopefully will take a while to get going. We should have wrapped up that first test if we only we had someone who went against the current Grain and just dug in for that short spell when wickets were falling | |

| The Ashes π on 12:55 - Dec 4 with 286 views | shandyjack | England played that last hour superbly. Coming down in their whites, leading Aussies to assume they were declaring, bowlers lost focus waiting for the Dec. Archer with some very useful runs, make the Aussies field for another 30 mins/1hr tomorrow and it's there for the taking. Although old adage of never judge a wicket/match till both sides have batted comes into play | |
