Ive enjoyed him but I'm not sure Mbengue is going to stick as the RB. Lot of positional issues, dives in way too easily often then taking himself out of the game as the oppo attack and his touch when dribbling could be kindly described as variable. |

I was genuinely surprised when I saw that line-up, the exact same XI that played 90 minutes weds, got back home early hours Thurs, and back on the road again Fri. That was really the strongest option we had to put out there?

He did, that's obvious.
Just make the changes and try to get something from the game. Starting with the midfield. So far Mattson and McLean have Madsen and Varane in their pockets.
And quite why Stephan is persisting with shoe horning Field into LB when we have a bonafide LB in Norrington-Davies is beyond me. Julien can solve 2 problems with 1 sub by moving Sam into midfield and bringing ND on for Varane. Round pegs in round holes please.
Then remove the ineffective Dembele for Smyth. After his excellent cameo at Blackburn Paul deserves to play and would provide better defensive cover on that flank. Norwich have been having a field day down our right. [Post edited 29 Nov 16:09]

From the heights of Hull..... and the tempo to this in just 7 days. Never even contemplated Blackburn ..but after that result braving the biblical weather here and greeted with this !!!
First 20 mins was like foosball pinging it about and 1-1 was perhaps the right score.as both teams were going hell for leather
Then 5 minutes of utter crapery has lost us this game..........What Sam was doing with that header is open to conjecture........and the OG is what it is.......... but the 3rd goal was the killer.........Unfortunately we won't come back from this
Guess we can say JS should have made changes........but we have all complained about major changes and how bad it is........so he don't make them, and this is what happens
OK we are bad.......but I still think we are on the sh!tty end of these 3 game weeks......and I though I'm not a conspiracist, I do think we are hard done by.
Most like we will have to write this one off........and it is more the frustrating that it is fcuking Norwich again............never forgive them for 1976...........

How can anyone honestly think that playing the exact same 11 as three days ago is a good idea? Saito looks shattered, there is no midfield, Field as just done something in his groin. They're out on their feet after 25mins. It's infuriating because it's so avoidable. You're telling me that not a single one on that bench could come in for tired legs? RND can't come in and play fullback? Smyth can't come in and run at them?

No one gets a pass but the midfield's lack of legs is a key here. They are letting down the defence and the attack.
I'd put Morgan on over Hayden, not saying that would transform the game but it's energy we need. So Smythy too.

Dear oh dear so many issues, unable to deal with the conditions, Varane has had a total shocker, both full backs have been very poor, Dembele and Saito totally ineffectual You can see he's not made that sub then because he wants to do a mass of changes at once and keep more in reserve.
I think at a minimum we want Smyth, Kone, Norrington Davies and maybe give it 5 or 10 before hooking Varane and putting Hayden on if no improvement |  | | |
