Swansea City : Jesurun Rak-Sakyi update and Josh Key back up named 6th Jan 2026 17:32
You won’t get anything of note from a football club during any transfer window unless it comes with a caveat that it is in their interest for certain things to be mentioned, proposed or even disregarded as a result of information given. Swansea City have a very tight unit of those who have access to information and any leak is easily traced. 0

Another very good report Keef, Joel Ward has been more than a decent player, but he's got to be 32/33 at least now, he can still help us though I'd have thought on and off the field, seeing has he's been there and done it.

I know nothing of Rak-Sakyi though.

Refreshing to read clubs/managers are seeing what we are doing and that can only be a good thing down the line. Maybe it's always been the case? But at least the club is getting some stability and not a mess like Chelsea, Celtic, Man Utd etc. Granted they live in different worlds. I know it could mean very little come the end of the window and it's about results, and as Keith said lessons to be learned what happened with Kim. But I'm looking at hopefully we get 3 strong home wins in January and get up that table.

DoB 29-10-89 - so age 36. I wondered whether he would still have the pace to operate at full back. He might be better as a centre back, a position he also played in.

In hindsight we probably would have been better off keeping Naughton for another year.

Poll: We all dream of a managerial team of Alan Tates?

Yeas, that seems to be his preference. It will all boil down to his fitness stats and things like pace, flexibility and body strength which the Swans will put him through before this moves forwards. Obviously there’s a medical which will contain a lot of this.

If he doesn’t match up he won’t be signed.

Was the well known Swansea Hotel Joel Ward had a meeting in the Dolphin Hotel?

I remain not hugely convinced that we need to be running out and making significant changes to the squad.

I would wholeheartedly support swapping Benson for another loanee winger if we can. I think Key showed enough in the first half against WBA to suggest that reports of his demise may be exagerrated. I think Widell is a goal away from a run of them. I'd like to see more of Wales instead of going out and borrowing a striker.

Realistically we're not going down, and will probably not go up either. Time to do some serious evaluation before the Summer window and a proper attack on the top six.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We definitely need another striker since Idah is out for 3 months.
