Here we go.

Swansea City : Matos faces a huge test 18th Feb 2026 08:00
Swansea City set out on a journey of two home games over four days this coming Saturday and then Tuesday evening. Saturday brings Bristol City (12:30pm) and Tuesday, Preston North End (7:45pm) Both games are winnable of course but will prove a lot harder than the two against Portsmouth and Oxford United. 0

Followers of Swansea City seem to have more interest in a midweek home game against Preston North End (Tuesday 7:45pm) than the game against Bristol City which kicks off at 12:30pm this Saturday at the swansea.com. 0

Win this and move into the Preston game (despite the hype re SnoopDogg) with the same attacking mindset we have seen since Matos arrived at home and the Swans could secure six points.

Apparently Bristol City will have over 2000 tickets for the game. Perhaps Swans fans will come out for the game before going indoors to watch the odd shaped ball game. Fingers crossed that there are nom issues off the pitch and that the Swans turn up and give us another home win....

Seeing it’s not the national game , Wales playing should make no difference to the crowd
Right now, watching wales is beyond painful

Will be interesting to see Matos team selection for this game given Stamenic banned, Widell coming back off an injury.
Matos seems to want to see us control games, it seems he has seen the issues caused by the team getting carried away in pressing too many players forward without playing attention cover in the defense, who we are playing against and if we are home or away, has addressed that so reducing the number of scoring opportunities teams have in open play against us.
A home team has an expectation to attack so when the Swans are away the number of our scoring chances usually come from break aways goals did we have the players good enough to be effective at the quick counter attack in the starting eleven, Derby played the waiting game and waited for the set pieces and profited from them much as we have in recent games, did we have a good enough in first eleven to defend against Derby set pieces it would appear not.
Surprised he didn't start with Fulton against Derby because Fulton is a better option in the aerial battles needed against Derby seen in his game under Sheehan to thwart Derby's upturn in results in last seasons home win.

So who starts against Bristol City and how do we get the upper hand on a team above us in the league? Do we rely on the set pieces or can we open them in general play if they keep their defence tight and try hitting us on the counter attack?
For me we keep the same back four, Tymon, Cabango, Burgess, and Galbraith, the midfield Fulton, Franco and Widell in for Cullen because Widell has now become a better attacking outlet creating openings with his skill and pace to effect our forward game and has become accustomed to the requirements his midfield defensive role needs in the Championship.
I would keep Ronald on the right because he is causing problems up top and defensively, the same could be said of Eom as well so would include him as well , that may seem harsh on Nunes but is he fully up to speed with the rigours of the Championship and be able to perform consistently for his time on the pitch both in defence and attack, all about getting the right mix in defence and attack.

Eom has come up with a goal and I think Widell will hopefully start to put away opportunities.

Is Fulton now a better option than Stamenic or do you play them both while ensuring you have a dynamic midfielder along side them, we will not see that combination for a while but will it be the preferred option by the end of the season?

The away end is on sale for home fans for Preston now.

It would seem that seeing SnoopDog is more important than supporting the team to some fans.
There are more ticket sold for a Tuesday night winter fixture v Preston North End, than a Saturday game v Bristol City.
All very odd.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Won't they be supporting the team on Tuesday? They may be choosing to watch the rugby on Saturday.

The rugby doesn’t start until 16.40 hrs. Even I can get home for that and I live 70 miles away.

Is the team selection for home games now more or less set or will Key get a look in and move Galbraith into the midfield, who would be dropped, Matos could fiddle with the the home team line ups but I very much doubt it will be by much.
Some have suggested there could be surprises in selection which in some ways can be good as it keeps the opposition guesting how to counter our strategy, have we become a team once ahead hard to gain the initiative against. So is a unpredictable change a good thing to grab hold and take the advantage early in a game?

Celebrity and those that follow it have generally undertaken quiet lives led to the next big thing by others. But that’s exactly what the club want, to gain traction by including these people and they chose a decent fixture to do so.

I think I stopped pursuing autographs when I was twelve.

A double ticket deal would maybe have been a good idea.

yet, I've been reading that the club would prefer that he attend a Saturday game in April.

If it gets people through the door, I wont be complaining.

The rugby will only be a distraction for Masochists
The team selected is actually rather sad
Scotland to win by 40 points
Tears from Lake
Excuses from Steve
Smiles from the daffodil hats
Another humiliation
F all from WRU

Those who are going to the game won't have time. Similarly lots of local clubs have Scottish teams down on tour, so they will be involved with their local clubs for the day. There is bound to be a knock-on effect from the rugby (pun very much intended!)
