Good game to watch for the neutral.

Coventry getting the ball forward and playing balls into the box very quickly and winning as a result,Middlesbrough with twice as many passes but most of them around the middle of the pitch going nowhere ,when they do go forward and wide quickly they are creating chances but Coventry look dangerous every time they play forward

Rushworth is creating havoc just booting the ball long straight downfield , classic route 1 stuff and Boro can’t handle it

Why am I not sad that Hellberg naffed off the lobby supporting him within the board (don't know how).
This Middlesborough team is good, but nowhere near top drawer.

Nothing wrong with route 1 if the opposition aren't guarding the centre. It's much faster than down the wings and engenders panic in their defence. If they leave it open, do it - always.

I will be be very surprised if they are not top draw enough to go up automatically.

Top drawer is not getting promoted in this league, it's having a team that wins promotion, and stays up.

If they get to the PL, the gaping holes revealed by Coventry will get shredded.

Like Sunderland who were being written off last season, NE clubs seem to have sticking power.

For me both clubs were playing football at a very high standard for the Championship. Middlesbrough went it went right were extremely quick and the passing at times was breathtaking. Fair play to Rushworth for the assist. Two sides there who the Swans are yet to play at home.

I don't think that Coventry allowed Boro to play their normal game last night . They harried them and were physical in the tackle especially in the first half , this unsettled the Boro and Cov were in the ascendancy.. Boro saw more of the ball in the second half but by then most of the damage had been done. Boros backline showed a vulnerability to pace especially Ayling who is not getting any younger something we should be looking to exploit . Haji Wright scored a classic "Vip" type goal last night when he got across his marker at the near post and met an accurate, swift cross first time in to the corner of the net.
I hope Nunes and the rest have been practising this in training this week - beating a man and delivering a low hard cross for the onrushing Vipotnik.

We have a better chance of winning a game now playing against side who want to play, we should give these two teams a good game.

Two very good sides. I thought Boro’ played the better football but didn’t really create a lot of chances (sound familiar ?). It will be a really good measure to gauge how we are progressing when we play these at home.

Both will go up
Both will come back down straightaway

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not
