Notwithstanding the destabilising role of Iran in the Middle East, the treatment of its own people and crimes commited on foreign soil, we seem to be waking up to the amount of misinformation being pumped out from Iran, here's a review from 8 years ago!
I can't find the article but I read a parliamentary paper that accounted for over a billion page views of Iranian disinformation in the last 12 months.

Why did Yassar Arafat turn down the last deal. There is not going to be a state of Palestine swallowing up Israel. Because we all know what would happen. Civil War and the persecution of Jewish and non Muslims. |
Let's not forget Arafat and the Camp David agreement. It lasted 6 days until the terrorism returned. Iranian terrorists, under the banner of Hamas, have been there ever since (but not for much longer!) Then we have Iran in Lebanon. Driven out in 2006, where the peace agreement was for Hezbollah to leave and Israel to return home. Hezbollah just went home for 6 days to re-arm and returned to Beirut. Israeli forces had all left. The United Nations have since passed United Nations Security Council Resolution 17 01, whereby Hezbollah must disarm (they haven't) and remain north of the Litani river (they haven't). The UN still has it's peacekeeping force in Lebanon, the thin blue line. Hezbollah have murdered 4 of them in separate attacks over the last month. The UN have done nothing. |  | | |

The best bit is that Arafat was Egyptian. Born in Cairo and spent most of his early life there.
He was also horrendously corrupt with a track record of stealing an absolute fortune in International aid and payments for his own uses. To this day his descendents live a life of luxury based on the proceeds of his theft. He was never, ever going to let the grift end in his lifetime.
The same basic pattern is visible with Hamas. Most of their senior people live lives of luxury in Dubai or Qatar whilst those dumb enough to do their fighting for them die in the rubble. The actual people of Gaza are easy enough to convince to keep dying "for the cause" because they're all deeply religious and most deeply religious people are thick as pigshit.
