| Dear me on 20:15 - Aug 11 by max936 | There's a few on here who are happy to see their taxes wasted and an abundance of the soft wokey left in the Senedd our very own party of Wales Plaid Cymru who portray themselves as the party for Wales and the party for the people of Wales, they're an absolute joke you only got to see their videos to realise that, they either walk out if they don't like the questions asked or that awful woman Sioned Williams gets angry and starts shouting, none of them are fit to govern. |
Plaid Cymru identify as the party of sanctuary welcoming God knows who on to our streets they are a disgrace

You have repeatedly told us that the crossings have become less so if that’s fact why would we need so many . |
Yep. It’s only a short time ago relatively speaking we were holding back the might of the luftwaffe and kriegsmarine when the rest of Europe had fallen in weeks. Now we can’t hold back a bunch of uber drivers and car washers in what are essentially floating mattresses with a fisher price motor attached to them. “Too difficult to keep them out”? Don’t make me laugh. We’ve just put the white flag up because nobody has the testicular fortitude to stop them.

They think they're clever by referring to them as refugees, that's how dull they are and people can see right through them. And they've not got the right to ok a nation of sanctuary, that's not what the majority of the people of Wales.

This from our PM when referring to the story concerning a little village in Oxfordshire with a population of 400 people which has been deemed suitable to house nearly 1.3k from the 3rd world and are putting up a fight to stop this madness ,instead of saying I agree we must stop the boats and that is my sworn duty but this : "I have begun to become aware of the campaign from Piddington, and I will listen to what people are saying and respond to the concerns that they are putting forward. "I don't know the issue yet in detail, but in some ways, as I understand it, it is about creating secure space and not have the HMO issues that you were talking about earlier. "It's obviously going to be challenging, but I am prepared always to listen to people, to work with people and to pick up legitimate concerns, and I will address those concerns. "I do have to say we cannot have a situation where it's only the poorest communities in the country that receive all of the dispersal of refugees and asylum seekers. "I do believe all parts of the country need to work, to play their part. It's a challenging issue. "We're working at it, we understand people's concerns, and I will look into the issues raised by the good people of Piddington."

| Dear me on 19:30 - Aug 11 by Boundy | Why should we give up our freedoms because of someone who ignores our laws . You must have missed the memo in which our governments now and previously have ignored the fact that these illegals have no documentation but can automatically claim benefits , be housed in, fed and watered and turn a blind eye to some working , advocate giving them voting rights . We don’t need ID cards , we need a strong government and if the thought of Reform/Restore gaining power frightens you then toughen up because at some point should we survive a right of centre party will hold the upper hand |
You do not have to do anything and accept the Status Quo. In that case why complain.? I have made suggestions how migration can be controlled and managed . I have given you an example of Turkiye which has repatriated thousands of refugees. UK has repatriated a hardly any. In an era of mass migration having a Welfare stats is a honey pot to a bee. I am a taxpayer and my tax is increasing. A loosely run welfare state in a period of deliberately coordinated mass migration controlled by smugglers using the RNLi is extremely frustrating.. Digital id does not bother me at all. We already gave camera and facial recognition. Mobile phones carry a wealth of intelligence. The illegals want looseness and to deal in cash and avoid paying for all the freebies my taxes pay for. If you want a welfare state it must be seriously managed. Pay you way and get the digital iD. Work illegally in cash with no official status then you get no state services. NHS Schools driving licence accomodation. Once these services are removed migrants will volunteer to leave. This is what the Turks are doing. It works. They were initially very generous but are now very hard. The Syrian came as guests and now must go home. Few even complain. Turkiye is not in the EU like UK and can make it's own laws. Turks paid for every thing and men have to do national service migrants do not. Reform Restore are frauds. What I have written here is tough and fair. Restore and Reform will not be able to enforce their policies without intelligence and police powers. No need for ICE. When service are cut unregistered or unapproved migrants will volunteer themselves. They will have no official status. Leaving is the sensible option. Ai search ~ "Turkey facilitates the voluntary and official repatriation of Syrian refugees to Syria, a process that accelerated significantly following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime. Hundreds of thousands of Syrians have returned home from Turkey under coordination by Turkish migration authorities." 500,000 "guests" have returned in 18 months. The Turks have leverage. | Dear me on 05:14 - Aug 12 with 1516 views | AnotherJohn | Returns to France is a difficult issue but I wonder if the UK could be more aggressive in asserting its right to follow the conventional practice under international customary law of conveying persons found in distress at sea to the nearest safe port. Admittedly some HR lawyers will quibble about whether disembarkation has to be in the nearest place of safety, but this has been common practice. Only the narrowest part of the Channel (about 20.6 miles wide) is entirely within the territorial waters of the UK and France. In most other areas the UK’s 12 nautical mile zone and France’s 12 nautical mile zone do not meet. This leaves a gap of international waters — at least 14 miles between Dover and Calais, and up to about 144 miles at the Channel’s widest point. Could we not make more interceptions there, and ideally not in State owned vessels? The pickup points would be chosen so that a French port is nearer than any UK port. There would be no harm in letting the migrants know it is a British rescue vessel, while not specifying the disembarkation port. International law specifies a procedure for informing the SAR services of the country owning that port of the incoming rescue and they are not expected to refuse entry. Pipe dream perhaps, but surely worth a try in the right maritime locations. I have to admit that the UNCLOS is not within my area of expertise, but there seems to be an argument to be made. There was a case from last year when a small boat in French waters near Calais was reported to be in difficulty and a UK Border Force vessel and RNLI lifeboat joined the rescue. They disembarked the migrants they picked up in France but our Government denied there had been any change in policy. [Post edited 12 Aug 5:45]

How do we stop them crossing in to our waters though? We can't operate in France, we can't shoot at them in France, they wouldn't stop if we asked them nicely. The only way is to physically prevent them crossing an imaginary line. It's almost logistically impossible.

Do you think France would allow us to watch the entire activity underway in their territorial waters? There is no chance of that happening. What would our fishing industry say if we allowed France to do the same.

If the French navy are actively escorting the migrants into British waters then what’s to stop our navy escorting them back? It’s just the political will to do so that’s lacking. It’s a very naive view that we shouldn’t be allowed to do exactly what the French have done for years.

This is becoming a moral issue now. So many people who have lived here, worked here, paid their taxes all their lives are really struggling to get on the property ladder, yet people rocking up illegally off the boats are getting brand new build houses for free. And people wonder why tensions are at an all time high.

No. It's a problem that needs to be solved, but to solve it we need to understand the cause and find appropriate solutions. They're coming to work - reduce the need We also need to understand the scale of the problem. We have less asylum seekers than most other similar countries. Only 5% of those come on small boats. We seem to ignore the other 95% . The vast majority of migrants are here legally, either because they're studying or working. We need the workers because British people don't want to do the jobs the migrants are doing - that has to stop. But we also need to end this misinformation, that's getting us nowhere.

again and again we're discussing illegal immigrants and your seem to believe that the majority are againgst all immigration , like the government when will you stop and actually absorb, understand and respond to whats being said .If you mean that 95% is of illegal immigrants then how are they arriving here , I know some are still arriving by vehicular transport and some via the Irish Republic so what other means are they using .

I don't really understand that. 5% of immigrnats arrive by small(ish) boat - but a disproportionate amount of concern is direcetd to them. Only 16% of immigrants are asylum seekers, bearing in mind many of them are from the Ukraine - again not a massive issue.
