Lincoln City statement : Why would WOL use this as a story, an embarrassment yet again.
Lincoln City Football Club condemns the actions of the individual who entered the field of play during Saturday’s fixture against Swansea City at the ProAmpac Stadium.
Entering the playing area at a football match without lawful authority is a criminal offence. The club has begun a full review of the incident and will support Lincolnshire Police fully with any investigation.
Separate from any police or court action, the club will apply the strongest sanction available under its supporter sanctions policy.
While some may see incidents like this as harmless, they are not. Entering the pitch creates a real and unpredictable risk to players, match officials, our stewarding staff and themselves. The safety of everyone inside the stadium must always come first.
This incident also has serious consequences for the club. City remain subject to an FA Action Plan until the end of the 2026/27 season following previous supporter misconduct charges.
When the club was last sanctioned by the FA in January 2026, the independent Regulatory Commission stated that it had given very serious thought to a partial stadium closure. Further supporter misconduct could expose the club to more severe sanctions, including the closure of sections of the stadium, which would punish thousands of supporters who have done nothing wrong.
We are deeply disappointed and angered by the actions of this individual.
The atmosphere created by our supporters at the ProAmpac Stadium is special. We ask the Imps family to help us protect it and understand that there are lines which must not be crossed.
If you see behaviour that puts people or the club at risk, please report it to a steward or use one of the reporting QR codes around the stadium.

WOL has a grand total of 6,000 subscribers. I'd guess that the paywall has reduced the overall number of viewings and viewers which will reduce revenue in the long term. |  |

Keith please reflect your comment, with respect. This was a very big probably drunk bloke throwing his weight about. 18 stone blokes aiming at your legs at speed is no joke especially out of the blue.
Lincoln might ask the police to consider an assault charge. One of my neighbours in Neath was a steward for a few bob and was in his 60s with health issues. I doubt he cared if the steward was a woman. He just wanted a cheap laugh . |  |
