I'd have him back in Jan.

Maybe a viable third choice mid for the Swans.

Failing that - someone who can run over to Morrisons during a match to buy some teabags for Curtis.

Not at all.

He's not going to be first choice obviously, but a player with his ability in front of goal and tendency to cut inside would always be welcome in a Laudrup team.

You've been singing the praises of Aspas FFS. Don't be snarking at me for supporting Sinclair.

Scott, his taking the ball and cutting inside was sussed out by the opposition defence in his 2nd season with us, ( same as Dyer is now).
Nowt will change if he ( Scott) returns.

With Michu and Bony upfront , Scott will be surplus to requirement.

I've been saying Aspas is worth a shot on a loan deal.

We could do worse than Sinclair, but we could also do a lot better...

Was Dyer sussed out on Wednesday?

Does Sinclair preferring to cut in not suit Laudrup's preference that his wingers cut in as opposed to Rodgers' preference that they don't?

Sinclair naturally drifted in to inside forward. It is what Dyer is being asked to do but Dyer's strength is hugging the touchline and making the pitch wide. Different players, different strengths but I suspect Sinclair is more suited to the Dyer role than Dyer is.

He's definitely better than Routledge.

I'd also grab back Ki, who is playing a blinder for Sunderland against Spurs.

By the way, when's the FA Cup draw?

Exactly.

Sinclair is well suited for the role our wingers are asked to perform. I'd still prefer Dyer ahead of him with the freedom to go wide if he wanted, but if we're looking for a winger within our price range who we already know can score goals then we could do a lot, lot worse.

Yes, I'd rather see the system tweaked to keep Dyer wide where he appears to be more comfortable and dare I say it, effective.

I wouldn't pay big bucks to get him back here, but on a cheap deal then we could certainly do worse.

Every player of that promotion side has my respect, in despite of the circumstances they may have left the club.
