All jokes aside I watched that "Elvis Costello meets" series and his voice is very below par these days. He was never any great shakes but he's pretty wince-inducing now.

Technically not great but I only realised what a great song "She" was when he sang it.
Aznavour sounded like Spike Milligan taking the piss.

Does he like black people now?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Einstein was a genius, Declan McManus isn't.

Hope this clarifies matters.

£55 a bit steep when you could get tickets for the manics or phonics for around £30

Pah! Your mind was probably on Julia Roberts at the time. The balding, red-faced Mick was incidental.

I did not know about this. Fair do's to EC. Most bands avoid us like the plague nowadays. Mainly because of the lack of suitable venues. The Patti is now used for just Indian weddings and places such as the Albert Hall are just left to rot. Gone are the days when Roxy Music supported by Leo Sayer played the Brangwyn. I put it down to lack of interest and support from WAG and a complete lack of conviction from our local politicians who refuse to rattle cages as they toe the party line.
I think I will be going but £55 is bloody steep. I paid £25 for The Stranglers in Scumland.

I remember seeing Leo Sayer supported by a group called Splinter (Costerfinetown was their only hit I think) at the Grand Theatre about 1980 or 81?
He was really good then

And there is the problem. £55 a time just to get someone to play here. It won't sell out and probably it will end up getting cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

The Patti was a gift to the people of Swansea. How have the council been allowed to ensure no music gets played in there. Stinks to high heaven, and it's not even a nice Indian
