I always thought that it was supposed to be based on the number of punches "landed on the target" per round.
In which case I think poor old Derek won by a country mile and was robbed.
In practiaclly every round he landed more body punches than all of Parkers punches put together, plus he landed with straight lefts to body hand head and left and right hooks and uppercuts on the inside to the head.
Parker spent most of the fight hanging on and illegally using the ropes (hooking the hands over them to stop the opponent moving), but did the flashy fast combination punches. Parkers straight left was also quite good, but nowhere near enough.
It would apear that heavy rib crunching body shots don't count anymore. |  | | |
