Can't for the life of me think how buttons I had...remember going to Wrexham and all of us getting told by some tw@t of a police super...that we all had to watch the match without our boots...picking them up after the match

Agreed it's laughable now....but I went on buses away in the late 70's and all of us would be wearing the same clobber albeit at a much younger age.
Remember going to Shrewsbury away and turning up on the way at some country pub...and there was 50 of us (all kitted out) and there was one girl behind the bar. Suddenly faced with this mass of nutters she shouts out to the back..."Sally"...and then louder..."Sally"...on the second "Sally" we all spontaneously start singing...."Sally..Sally... They were not exclusively for skinheads, I've never been one of them in my life.
They were and still are comfortable boots.
I wear converse as well, should a 60 odd year old not wear them.
maybe I should loom for something more comfortable for an old man, what you suggest, brogues or something else nice? |  |
