Their take. Very generalised. No alternative strategy in place. All eggs in one basket.

The whole fecking world is now scrambling for PPE and test kits. They found a supplier of test kits and made an agreement which was then not honoured. Dont you suppose plan B was the "But now the health minister has unveiled a new "smart test", as well as a new plan for supplying antigen tests, with hope for 5,000 of these tests a day by mid April." You are just point scoring.

Covid 19 testing kits problem in Wales on 22:55 - Mar 28 with 653 views | majorraglan | Was told this week about some PPE gloves which are in a container and on route to a UK supplier, apparently another country has offered a 50% premium to secure the contents of the container. Let’s hope the original suppler has morals and the box ends up in the UK. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yetr another case of money causing problems. Or to be more precise, greed. If any company signs an agreement then legally they should honour it. I hope any company that breaks agreements to make more ptofit gets slaughtered in the courts after this, ethically and morally as well as legally.

Still only 800 tests a day for the foreseeable future. PPE protection for front line workers still nowhere near enough. Worse number of ITU beds in Europe. Letters sent to vulnerable patients started to arrive over a week after they were meant to be sent. Progress in last three days, none. Point scoring? Don't think so. Gethin and her predecessor, drakeford, have done a fine job between them.
