I don't think they will stop until they have vaccinated everybody, young kids included, that's their purpose I think for bringing in masks and testing for children returning to school in England from March 8th, I would be very surprised if in the future the tests didn't suddenly go high for the kids..
It makes my blood boil, we are just being played and not very well either..
And don't forget Gove the one mentioned heading this covid vax discussion shall we call it, only a few weeks back categorically denied any passports to get into venues, and now he's in a government think-tank on it, how many more times can they lie to us, and get away scot free!!

Prof Whitty said a figure of approximately 30k deaths a year from Covid going forward in the press conference on Monday.
It's based on not everyone getting the vaccine, it never being 100 effective especially in older and frail people and likely new variants.

I don't know if there will be 30,000 deaths from Covid per year. Once restrictions are lifted influenza will come back into play, and given that the Venn diagram for those most at risk from Covid vs those most at risk from flu is basically just a circle it's more likely that the figure of 30,000 will be a mix of both. Winters might be a bit more lethal for a couple of years.
It's good that Westminster are being realistic and acknowledging that "Zero Covid" is not a realistic scenario. Think it's basically a given that once most people in groups 1-4 have had two shots, and the rest have been offered one, then things will open up. Wish I could be as certain about the Bay of Plenty. |  |
