I would like to think that the like of Brandon Cooper, Cameron Evans (and Scott Butler) have been bought up to play like this from the age of 9 at least those developed at Swansea. I like to think Russel will be pleasantly surprised with the in-house developed youths who will slot into his methods seamlessly because of their nurturing from an early age.
I see reference to the 'Welsh way' by the FAW, notionally a possession based style. This was exposed as a myth in the Denmark drubbing where the Welsh side was horribly out passed. [Post edited 14 Aug 2021 13:20]

The FAW, much like the Cardiff centric media, like to take credit away from down West and try to put it in the "Capital city"
Did you see the Welsh sports news where they talked about transfers? Yesterday or maybe Thursday evening it was. They talked about Cardiff and McCarthy looking at players then they came to us and talked about Swansea having signed 2 players 'despite the financial position they are in' which is clear bias. Cardiff have only sold, they made a profit last time I looked whereas SCFC have spent 2 million and more with add ons. No mention of Cardiff bleeding over 2 million per month and Tan making cut backs just the usual biased, negative reporting on us. |  |

I genuinely can see Latibeaudiere fitting in to RM’s style, for me he has everything as a player, I know I’ll be criticised but he Is they very type of player this system needs, and most importantly willing to learn. |  |

Joel L reminds me of Alan Tate when he was with us at first, looks a class player but ultimately has an error in him. Tate was shipped out to full back and at times as a central holding midfielder as Centre half and the last line before the keeper due to him getting caught out at times.. I see Joel L going the same route in his career and as he is a little on ty he shorter side but has more pace than Tate, I see Right back being a position he could evolve into as his career moves forward. |  |
