Excellent synopsis, nail on the head.
'Swansea City were given another football lesson in Lancashire today'. WTF, when does this happen to us ? The team in white outplaying us.
The big worry is Martine's intransigence, stubbornness and clear lack of managerial maturity to adapt and adopt a pragmatic winning formula. This is in stark contrast to the last two years of clever, mature, sensible management of resources to play winning football.
Omitting, then worse still ignoring Whittaker's winning momentum, presence and go-forward enthusiasm is worrying and telling in equal measure. Doing the same with Dan Williams was catastrophic mis-management given how shoddy we were in midfield.
The very worst bit - we lacked Hwyl. Something we've had as an edge, a winning bouncebackability.

TBH.The sun was in mine eyes .I ensure that was the case.
There was nothing at all positive today.Anyone suggesting such is a liar.
I detested Cooper,but this fella Russy,COULD turn out to be our biggest farkup of all.
He ,at the moment,seems utterly deluded,planet Zog. I mean Cullen is midfield.
At one stage ,my chum and I ,really think think he tried to be subbed.He went over to the bench looking rather distressed and appeared to not want to play any more. Martin sent him back on to the field of play.
Right now,I really am worried for the club as this fella will see us relegated at this rate,of that I am certain.
This was Preston North End,let me remind people. We were obliterated.
We had free parking,a nice drink at the place I suggested for Jacks and true to form ,Eddie the Fireman passed me and utterly blanked me. | |

That's what bothered me also Geoff.
They won everything on the floor and the reaction after their third goal was shocking, no desire or fight to get back into the game.
Apparently we have several players who are tired after either having covid or playing too many minutes 🙄
Well if they arent rejuvenated after the international break and show some intent then we could be sucked into a relegation battle. [Post edited 29 Aug 2021 12:14]
