Russell Martin agrees entirely, the swans were shockingly bad ! 28th Aug 2021 20:15
Pulling no punches whatsoever Swansea City manager Russell Martin stated post match his team just didn’t compete anywhere on the pitch. A comprehensive display by Preston North End including pace and pressing in the right areas put paid to any thoughts of a swans victory after an entertaining first fifteen minutes. 0

I think he will get this right but we are in for one hell of a season of change to get there.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Swansea has always profited from going brave and full throttle. Cardiff city did the same 5 years ago with 'pass master' Paul Trollope but lacked the cohones and total commitment and have had Slade, Warnock and McCarthy constantly going long and very basic.

Swansea cannot beat the big shots by copying them. They have to do their own thing. I recall Brendan have 5 consequetive dissapointing away loses in his promotion season. Stan Tennant, Phil Brown hussled and bustled their way to the points by sheer work rate and commitment.

Wise sage since Toshack era

Glad he's seen it also the players yesterday were to blame for that ,no fight in them they bottled it
He needs to ship some out especially if they aren't ones he would have signed

Perhaps all this bollox excuses about tiredness, covid, crap preseason is covering for they dont want to stay with the Swans, risk an injury, dont see a future here and want away.

Time will tell. We'll know by 11 p.m. Tuesday, unless they have poor agents.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it takes time, can’t click your fingers and make a team competitive, I know the planet swans amazing armchair football managers seem to think it’s easy, and that’s why you’re telling people your opinions on an Internet forum and Martin is doing it in the real world
