The coverage I saw appeared to show several people making pretty much the same speech, the Archbishop of Canterbury comparing climate change to the Holocaust and Joe Biden appeared to be sleeping. There was a woman from the Marshall islands telling us that they are having to build sea defences and actually are planning on building the islands up to stop them disappearing.
There are thousands of people from over 200 countries all probably out having free food and alcohol right now, on expenses. They'll have a massive jolly, a lot will be said and nothing will be done.

Of course climate change is a natural event. We are technically coming out of an ice age which is why the temperature is rising maybe?
My issue isn't with the temperature, it's with pollution, environment destruction, man made extinctions. The pollution is a problem because of air quality, the harm it does to wildlife, to the seas, to our health.
If man is affecting the temperature it's in a very small way but we are killing the seas with oil and plastics pollution.
I don't get vegans either, they go on about sustainability but if we all stopped eating meat it's not at all sustainable for the animals or the balance of nature. | |
