We could really do with an exciting pacy player - if he’s developed at Plymouth let’s get him back in and around the first team. We’re short on Centre halves, a decent centre mid and possibly a GK if Benda and Hamer are off (and that’s if our front two aren’t sold nor Downes).

If Martin is given the choice he will get rid of all of the loanees plus the others previously mentioned at the club.

To be honest, I don't think he is going to pull up trees in the Championship. If we are serious about going places we need better. | | | |

Agreed. But do we have the funds to buy better?
This goes for all the younger players that have been on loan but Garrick especially who's performed well at the highest level of them all - we aren't really going to get much of a fee for them if anything and we probably aren't paying them a lot. We may as well keep them and try to develop them.
Not sure what else we could have expected Garrick to do at Plymouth. 47 games, 14 goals/assists. Fast, versatile.

He fills the "athleticism deficit" Martin highlighted after the Forest mauling. I expect him to resolve the issue not just use it as an excuse.
"They were bigger faster stronger more accurate and more determined than us, we were weak small and slow but I loved our bravery, I am proud of these weak small slow young men" .

I cannot imagine a situation which doesn't involve us selling at least one ( if not more ) of the most valuable foursome (Piroe, Downes, Obafemi and Cabango ).
This should release funds to enable Martin to get in the ( relative ) bargain basement players he wants, plus possibly Christie and Wolf.
I would love to see all four of the above stay, but cannot seee that happening sadly |  |
