I’ve never really forgotten that game. It was more about self preservation than anything else.
We were on the Kop and there were bricks coming at us like confetti.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

So your favourite moment isn't Wales doing good but England's failure?
Says it all really.
I've not been a big supporter of internationals over the years but to be honest Euro 2016 sucked me in and I enjoyed the whole thing, there were a lot of stand out moments.

Don’t ask keith about diving in top of a load of Cardiff fans from a dodgy tin roof before the england game.
Went over on a national express bus through the channel tunnel without a ticket, put a desperate plea on social media and I had a reply from a presumptuous England fan who'd bought tickets early thinking they'd top the group.
Too many to choose from. I skipped school to go to Wembley in 77 with my Dad and his mate. His banger of a car got us there, parked right next to the turnstile in the massive car park. Leighton James. Homevwins soon after v Germany and Brazil. Stuffed Spain 3-0. Just so many memories. Then of course the Euros. Got through the qualifiers Didn't get tickets for the N.Ireland game until 3pm the day before. Left at midnight, got to Paris at midday. Another Win. My Mrs got excited and knocked Rhod Gilbert's pint out of his hand after the game. He was rat arsed though. Got home for tea on Sunday. Then Lille. I hope I can keep going for a few years yet. Me and Fireboy are in Cardiff on the 5th June. Going to be a huge night.

It was more the effort involved by a single fan. The total madness is in us all.
George Best nicking the ball from Banks was another iconic moment. Never ever a foul.
Brian Flynns total football goal vs Scotland.
Cymru vs Russia in 2016. 3-0. Amazing.
Rogers 1 cap vs Brasil in 2000, cheered by all the Jacks in Cardiff that night. Stand up and clap. 🦢

Yea my bus from Victoria was delayed in the tunnel so didn't get to Lille until about 6am on the day of the game. Then had a mare trying to access my 1 room BnB flat. Had about half hour sleep before heading out.
Was light leaving the gay bar we somehow ended up in the next Morning with no idea where my accommodation was. Lost my mate along the way, thankfully bumped into another lost Welsh guy who had phone battery but no place to sleep so we joined forces and he slept on the floor for all of an hour before I had to chuck him about because I had to get the bus back. My mate didn't make it so I had to carry his bag as well as my own. Left his passport at the border check and he followed on a later bus. Which arrived back at victoria bus station right behind mine because of demonstrations in London. But yes, like you say, all well worth it.

Only three times I have encountered trouble. Once was at the famous Plymouth game, when I almost got attacked but my brother's mate who is older and bigger stepped in. The second was in a car park after the Oxford win ( first away of the season, 1980 I think ?), the car was almost surrounded by about 10 Oxford Ultra ( they had already attacked a minibus) Thankfully my brother drove at them and got away. The last was the 2-1 win in the FA Cup against Cardiff. I was in the East and got surrounded by Cardiff fans in there at the end. Luckily a couple of stewards stepped in or it could have been worse.
