Russell Martin : We need to find solutions to our problems ! 7th Aug 2022 11:50
Russell Martin and his coaching staff took some stick from the opposition bench yesterday afternoon as he saw his side well and truely beaten at the swansea.com stadium. The game has been described as ‘The worst game under Russell Martin’ in many quarters. The swans were beaten easily 3-0. Comments regards their passing style and in game management were not lost on the swans boss. 0

He is the problem though. He is the reason I never renewed two season tickets. I don’t think it takes a genius to work out last season that the guy is arrogant beyond belief. Yes managers have to be fully confident in their ways, but there are times when you have to rewrite the script.

We have no pace to play his style of play. So why does he persist with that style? It’s the equivalent of turning up on the F1 grid driving a 4x4 and being surprised at the outcome. But to carry on repeating that takes a special kind of mentality doesn’t it.

We have pace in the form of Garrick and Joseph. Moreover they are sizeable and physical.Exactly what we need. Both marginally crimin ally

I don't think it's marginal where Joseph is concerned, we could use his pace alongside Obafemi and put Piroe in the hole behind them.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Luther.
It can get worse. It has been for at least 6 months and it's a runaway train.

He has had his pre season where the problems from last season were apparent and not addressed.ergo,he's learnt nowt at all.
People told me they were only friendlies but I say friendlies are just the games that show if lessons have been learned.
First lesson is Fisher is not good enough.Seems a freak good show at Rotherham was an isolated good performance.
Our issues start at the back -with him and his mad coach.

Problem being we don’t have the players to play what he wants and he doesn’t have the managerial nous to coach it.
My solution
Francesco Guidolin

The bloke is off his head, read this and what he says about "transition under Roberto" because I don't remember the changes under Roberto taking over 9 months and still being ponderous, boring and self defeating.

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-news-rus

In fact, under Roberto we had a really quick transition and saw some great, fast flowing football. We often were a tad poor in defence but we were a really good attacking team.

Martin is clutching at straws.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
