However, yet again it signifies a lack of character in the Swansea defence which concedes goals late on as if it’s a given part of their game. 0 For where we are, that’s better, click above.

Gave up more shots on goal than we have all season. 78% pass accuracy which is the worst all season and linked to the above. Yet another goal conceded in an undrilled extra time period. In terms of “dangerous attacks” Stoke doubled ours. 1 win in 15 (?!).

Corny was at the game. Sat not far away from the WOL reporter and BBC cymru. I think that’s a very good, and very fast posted match report based on what he saw. We were much better in creating chances, from what I saw, I’m just disappointed we were t three up from those chances in the first half.

But I’m sure Stoke would be saying they were annoyed they weren’t 4-1 up at the half. Football fans often think “if only” to their chances but ignore the oppositions. Creating chances hasn’t been the big issue this season, him not playing Piroe up front and as a result is finishing less of them has been the issue there. Stopping them creating chances has been our main problem this season - that remained in all its “glory”.

For me as Keith on this forum, I agree. We gave them the majority of their chances through sheer stupidity as I commented during the game. It was if only for both sides

Agreed. The point I’m trying to make tonight is, what metric are we using to judge performance these days? I’ll explain: We wanted a dramatic shift into the heavy possession, high pass count, high pass completion football style. Today saw the lowest of all those things since Martin took over (when facing 11v11 anyway). 52% possession 426 passes 78% completed That has to be the lowest in all key areas since he started. So which style of play do we want? Because if what we saw tonight was what we want (direct, but pick up points) - then that is just a time warp back 2 years to a point where everyone was moaning about such performances. Just doesn’t make too much sense to me.

Same. Not least because of how much I hate Stoke. Sorry...

I'm disappointed we didn't score another 2 in the first half , matter of inches
