If that is the case the first option would be to play the long ball up the park if it is only in behind the full backs it would stretch there defence and make them have to make decisions went to push forward or drop back it seems as if we made it easy for them. |  | | |

All the more reason to get some youngsters in with pace and movement who maybe inexperienced but given the rout yesterday we need them. to up to speed and fast because a well set up team with pace and skill can predictably pick us at ease. | | | |

This ^ and the set up was all wrong.
Martin obviously didn't watch any of burnleys home games as if he did he wouldn't have set up with 3 at the back.
He has to be more flexible in his approach to certain teams, especially the top teams, for me it's horses for courses, it should have been 4 at the back yesterday as teams like Burnley employ wingers or fast wing backs.

Good teams are drilled to cut out the number of passing options a player has on the ball, it seemed they could pass at will.
