Not if it means we have to play two games a week to accommodate it.

Hate it and can't wait to get back to the bread and butter.
Not natural for us to have a break ( apart from the ones enforced by Covid )

This is the third season in a row that has seen disruption for one reason or another.
It’s time to return to normality.

I think many actually lose a little interest and find other things to do with their time.
The lower leagues have had to carry on and therein are the clubs and players who really have i5 tougher than the rest .
Third round of cup tonight completely overshadowed .

And all to accommodate this competition .

I actually miss the feisty exchanges in here with my fellow Jacks and fans .

Really enjoying the World Cup been some cracking games.

Love the Euros as well but the World cup is another level again.

The African sides are a breath of fresh air Cameroon Morocco Ghana have all been brilliant to watch.

Enjoy watching the South American sides as well and a few shocks.

So taking away the venue should not have been played there on the football side alone its been top notch.

Not knocking the competition itself and quite a few of the games throwing up drama.
Just the timing ( the venue of course is a different issue )

It is the World cup. All continents should have the competition at some point. Sadly a lot of the world is authoritarian and some have strict state religious laws.

Te competition cannot be based on liberal values otherwise it is not the World. You accept the world for all its shortcomings.

The LGBT issue is no big deal for me as UK and the west have only recently come to terms with LGBT issues.

However the FIFA should from now on protect all its 'stakeholders'. This includes players fan and dignitaries in 2022. It should also have included workers contractors and agencies. They would need to be FIFA approved and work to FIFA approved contracts. Failure to fulfill basic standard would lead to dismissal.

If it cost $200 billion using workers on slavery terms one hazards to guess what it would have cost if done in a properly regulated way?

I have not seen anywhere where Qatar has agree a compensation fund. for the workers familes that had relatives perishing in the Gulf sun. These are specifics highly vague ribbon wearers have no interest in. This is because the ribbons are about the individual wering it not the people who have suffered perhaps?

Good to see Ben Stokes has given his cricket match fee to the Pakistan Flood relief fund
