It’s real alright but you have to bear in mind the event is being staged in Thailand, there it’s an ancient symbol for good luck intended to confer health and happiness.

I can’t remember the exact quote off the top my head, I don’t think, but Foote said “for us in the South the war is what AD is to everywhere else, we date from it.”

Hitler didn’t have blonde hair either, it’s a bit of a myth regarding that.
Most Germans don’t have blonde hair and blue eyes. He thought blonde hair and blue eyes was the perfect example of human, but it wasn’t his aim to kill anyone without it. Pol Pot was the dictator that killed people based on appearance and fear of intelligence.

The nazi's had a pecking order of races and black people were at the bottom so no, they would not have gotten on well with BLM.

Give any extremist group political power and that is usually the outcome.
All extremist groups should be opposed, and BLM no different.
The fact we associated our club with them is a bit of a stain on us. But everyone else jumped on the bandwagon too, not that it is any consolation to those who knew what was what with them very early and didn’t get swept up in the media driven posturing. [Post edited 5 Dec 2022 21:21]
