Russell Martin in line for the Norwich City vacancy ? 28th Dec 2022 10:43
Long gone are the names of Bryan Hamilton, Bruce Rioch, Gary Megson, Alan Irvine, Martin O’Neill or indeed any manager of old that once swam around the financial roundabout of success that football management brings you. Those names are long gone and now get replaced by new traditional favourites, whilst in amongst the guessing game is truth. 1

It sounds like Scott Parker may get it and could be appointed very soon.

Can’t work out if that’s good for them or not. Bournemouth turned very negative under him but they did get promoted albeit spending more than most.

This is Patches O'Houlihan saying "Take care of your balls, and they'll take care of you."

Iwan Roberts sums it up well,
“I look at what Russell has done in the game so far as a head coach and not one bit of me thinks he should get this job,” he said. “I look at MK Dons — when he left they’d finished 13th in League One. Last year they finished third under Liam Manning. There was a massive improvement after he left.

“I look at Swansea — they finished 15th last season and they are 16th now after the defeat at Reading on Tuesday. Don’t get me wrong, there have been times when it has been a joy to watch, but there have been times I am pulling my hair out because it is so predictable.

“There isn’t enough to impress me.”
