Japanese knotweed is a swine to get rid off, but I believe it can be done. The council will do it a lot cheaper than private companies will. That was the case a few years ago, I may add.

I've read it's edible perhaps that's a possible solution mass production wise

Widely introduced in Victorian times to bind railway embankments. When I was a boy we used to call it Gypsy Rhubarb, the first time I heard it called Sally Rhubarb was when Mike Hedges wrote about it. Evil stuff, but at least it can now be dealt with chemically - no longer necessary to remove soil to a depth of 9 feet to get rid of it. I believe Swansea was the first place in Britain to appoint a dedicated Japanese Knotweed Officer, but it's rife now where I live in England - always in close proximity to railway lines.

Only if the diameter hadn't exceeded 2 inches , anything bigger you'd need a cannonball
