This is my first piece for Swansea Independent and I’ve thought about it a lot over the past few days. To really give my thoughts some context I waited until yesterdays game was over against Middlesbrough. It does sort of prove my point to an extent.

Excellent post, spot on, nothing to disagree with. The worry for me is if we do survive this year, he will still be our manager next season.
I would like to see Julian Winter come out and at least make some sort of acknowledgement, that he is aware of the fans concerns, but we dont hear a peep from him.
Money has been spent by the owners but spent badly. The problem with absent owners, manager out of his depth and a silent chairman will never end well.
I also have season ticket and go away to 95% of games, but getting very little enjoyment, but will keep on going because it is my club which I have been supporting for 72 years.

What I struggle to understand is that, if he's able to coach the midfield and forwards to the extent that we've scored 48 goals, more than 11 of the teams above us, why is he so unable to coach the defence to defend.

Whatever we may say about the frustrating midfield tippy tappy stuff and the number of chances missed by the forwards the fact is that 48 scored is a very decent return. Only five teams have scored more.

But the defence is an utter shambles. Yesterday three of the back five and the GK were his signings so he can't complain that he hasn't been given the tools to do the job.

I've had enough of Winters and Martin they both need binning and should have been so months ago. Nothing we can do about the yanks though unfortunately, hope the next owners whenever that happens have a proper vision and ideas to take us forward.
