No real interest for me as there is a lot of sport currently on, Cricket, Tour, World Cup ect. I may dip in now and again but won't follow it closely.

Hi. It’s nice to see Hoylake buzzing. Imagine Pennard with 250,000 visitors . It’s manic but it’s exciting and our local economy is due to benefit by tens of millions . Roads have been closed, walkways shut, cycle paths too and trains rescheduled . Traffic from M53 is mixing with commuter traffic. My daughter is due with her daughter for us to sit and she’s jammed solid living just three miles away. Problem is the fields have been rented out for Park and Ride.

The local economy is bound to benefit. The Ironman is Swansea last week bought in an estimated £2.5M to the local economy and that is nothing in comparison.

It's the last big sports event before the football season so I'm determined to enjoy it before the pain

Golf is a waste of a good old walk and spoilt by having to carry golf clubs and then smash a ball into the abyss and then spend more time trying to find the fecker

Hope so, it’s nice to see the jam spread about and money going in to the regions instead of London. Should give Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and North Wales a few extra visitors.

Looking around Hoylake yesterday, plenty of money sloshing around. It’s great for our peninsular although Sky passing me off a bit with that montage on Liverpool. It is 10 miles from Liverpool, separated by a river.

It’s a poor life is this if we can only discuss football, which often bores me to tears. This Ladies World Cup sees me totally disinterested . I’m off to have a peep anyway .
