Learn to love. - "Hug a Yank" campaign. 14:56 - Aug 1 with 1376 viewsReslovenSwan1

It is high time Swansea fans stop using the pejorative "Yank " word and started to love and respect the club ownership. I do it for effect only.

They have been accused of all sorts of nonsense over the last 7 years and none of it was even close to being true.

No one in football can promise 'next level' achievement in football without about $3 billion. Swansea fans should respect those who invested and took the club from the omni-shambles of pre 2001. Swansea city is in there competing and has done for 20 years.

Here is even more US support.

Yank or Yankee is not seen as a pejorative by all Americans .
Have a little research

In my opinion Swansea fans should be a lot better than the rest. In 2002 some great progressive minds gave the fans the keys to the club boardroom and made them 20% owners.

Sadly the leadership of this group took the organisation is the wrong direction once the ball started hitting Fabianski's net too often for comfort.

They took a crazy strategy of increasing their holding not reducing their holding and cashing in. They covered it up this failure by redirecting blame to others in my opinion. This strategy unravelled completely in 2022 when the illusion of unfairness collapsed spectacularly with an humiliating climb down.

Football fans are passengers and want other people to service their wishes. The recent "oi Yanks show us your cash" thread highlighted this mentality. Swans fans are still 13% owners.

Swansea fans are the owners and need to embrace this. The tired old "we are just the good earth working class salt of the earth people " will not wash.

Swansea and Wrexham are miles apart. Swansea fans are equals in the boardroom "not excluded extras part of a Netflix reality show" grateful for any gesture of kindness from Reynolds and his "Yankee" mate.

Still among one of the biggest shareholders. A bigger holding than than Silverstein for example. The rest is down to simple personality and charisma.
