Should Duff select the players who know what it’s all about ? 10:45 - Sep 13 with 1358 viewsKeithHaynes

Should he go for Joe Allen, Liam Cullen, Ben Cabango and Jamal Lowe along with Grimes and Fulton this Saturday ?

Yes.

I suspect these lot will be cranking it up in training this week, letting the newbies know what this game is all about.

Duffs of the cuff remark should be forgotten as he said it to take the pressure off his players, believe me this guy knows what a derby is all about, he played for burnley in many derbies against blackburn.

I am quietly confident.

I’d start most of those anyway.

But yes, a mixture of that and the new boys that have hit the ground running. We need Patino definitely. Humphreys if he’s settled and as good as he sounds. I get the impression Key would thrive in that kind of environment and Yates is 110% every game anyway.

How long was Humphreys away training with England?

I think he should go that way and if that way does not work then go the other way for the next game.

Select players who are willing to cut them in half,if necessary ( all in the best possible taste)

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

I’m unsure if any derby outside of the premier leagues obvious are as fiercely contested as this one, and that’s just the fans.

He should pick his best team. As much as a derby needs passion it also needs cool heads.

No point cutting someone down in the first 5 to make a point if you get sent off.

We need controlled passion, not the reckless kind.

I lived in East Lancashire for over 15 years and I can say that the blackburn burnley Derby is a feral as ours.

The preston/blackpool is up there as well.

Intend to gauge these things by the fact fans mingle before and after games ( normal fans ) I’m still unsure if our lot and their lot could even do that without incident. I’m sure tho you didn’t experience any issues in Latvia ? Or see any. Mind you there were a fair few jacks about.

Some doing the k0nga 🕺💃

Aye two indy posters in the middle of it 😁👌

And there were no problems at all, great two days mingling with not only jacks but quite a few kerdiff lot who are top people.

Re the mingling fans, before games the teams fans I've mentioned do get on but I can assure you that they would rip each other apart on derby days just like both south wales lot.

Just pick a team to win the game.
Cardiff probably have more players going into this game who have not been involved in this fixture before.
