Swansea have in recent years alway had a quality forward going back to Jason Scotland.
It would be great if Watson could find another player from Scotland like Scotland. Cheap powerful and a great goalscorer. Even sold for £2m after his 30th birthday.
The club grossed £14m for Obafemi and Piroe with another £6m to come. Only 1/10th was reinvested in Yates who might perform better with a classier or more powerful frontman.
Berreton Diaz would be ideal but costly and has other options. Other names that come to my mind is Welsh go to man Kieffer Moore who is available and played alongside Lowe effectively for WIgan a few seasons back and for AFCB last season.
A better option is Patrick Bamford. He was loved by Bielsa and can do the graft as well as score. Horribly out of favour at Leeds and now 30. A good honest pro. He will cost of course but these guys always do. He could give Swansea 3 good seasons if Leeds want to play ball.
Thoughts from the cabin. I am out now to put some mud to cut down that draft through logs.

Bamford
Rated by Bielsa but not swancity? A Premier league regular performing well where McBurney and Brewster have not. It is the financial matters that leads to the bouncey? .

He’s reportedly on £28k - to £35k per week - he’s also 30 so there’s no potential added value going forward. Can’t see this ever getting off the ground.

One I would like to see us look into would be Ferdy Druijf. Pretty prolific at the second level in Holland and youth level as a youngster. Not quite kicked on since but has seen a bit of football this year and scored a couple, the sort of player we used to go for. Lots of talent in the Eredivisie and Pro League. Mohamed Amoura is great although probably slightly out of reach for us.
