Arsenal fan here looking for some thoughts and opinions on how our boy is getting on at your place. Pros and cons to his game etc, and most importantly is he looking close to being ready for a squad place with us next season. Elneny is set to leave and would love to see a youth product like Patino step in.

Imo blows hot and cold. When he's hot he's a decent championship player but currently no higher. When he's cold he's quite anonymous, biggest problem for me is he makes a lot of silly mistakes giving the ball away which is costly. |  | | |

Think he's a prem player without a doubt, not sure if he's a top 6 team player though, probably too soon to say. We've been in a real slump this season producing some dour displays, which haven't really helped him play his natural game.
Also struggling to get many mins lately, not sure if that's down to potential interest from Juve and instructions from your end or just not been impressing the gaffer. |  | | |

Makes them mistakes as the players around him are not in the right areas ,playing with better players with better movement would see the best of him..good player.. | | | |

Good player need to stay here for the rest of the season 🙏.
People were hyped up about him untill we heared about the re call.
Being linked to Italian clubs so he is doing something right.
He is technically gifted in a few years once his growth has finished.
He is going to be a top player.
But as I said people are gonna say he isn't that good just because we are losing him. | |

Definite quality in there & he is developing. Obviously did ok in a struggling Blackpool team last season & he has been ok for us. Not helped by the manager & our team tactics and we don’t have the quality around him or in front of him that he would benefit from. Someone needs to support his development & find his best position in midfield somewhere. He’s mostly been paired with two deep lying defensive non creative midfielders in Grimes & Fulton. He needs to improve his passing range & physicality to make a difference in the EPL. He’s not going to be the next Declan Rice or Martin Odegaaard unless he moves his development up a notch. |  | | |

He's nowhere near the 30million that's been banded about, not sure what price I'd put on his head at this moment in time though, he's got plenty of time. |  |

For some bizarre reason he's spent a lot of time on the bench whilst we've persisted with a central midfield that creates almost nothing. A guaranteed name on the teamsheet for me, even if he can blow hot and cold.
He's capable of making things happen. Probably not at the highest levels yet, maybe not even ever, but more than good enough for us. [Post edited 6 Jan 2024 20:06]
