Swansea play some nice football but it is toothless.

They pass it around nicely but they don't really threaten with anything.

This has been the case all season. It is a boring team that seems to want to congratulate itself after a series dull inspiring performances. Grimes seems happy. Why not he is very well rewarded for not getting results and beating Cardiff ? .

Stoke Wednesday won’t matter as long as we beat Stoke in midweek.

Except for our management.

They insist on playing the same walking football week in week out. Martin's football is still with us.

The only time we changed style by attacking at pace and getting numbers and the ball into the box was against Cardiff.

Can somebody please explain to me why the management can't see that it's the way to go.

Everyone plays at a slow pace except Wood who just stops and then passes back.

By playing this slow we close all the spaces to play in ourselves by pushing high,, at times, it would seem as if we are moving the ball at pace for example when the defenders drive forward with the ball at their feet but the ball isn't moving as fast as it would if passed first time, we are predictable and we are not backing up our forwards quick enough. The slow push forward is leaving us open to counter attacks with no viable cover.

Against Cardiff we went 1-0 down because of the reasons stated above but the crowd and players pride made sure that the defenders attacked the ball hile keeping our shape defensively, knowing if they didn't they would feel the backlash.

I would rather see players with passion playing making the mistake rather than sleep walking into Championship oblivion, a classic example during the game was we had won a throw high up the pitch Paterson quickly gathered the ball to throw down the line but Lowe unmarked remained uninterested to the fact he had so much space, Paterson disgusted threw the ball to the floor so our designated thrower could take it so we were in the right shape to be closed down and lose the ball!
Against Cardiff we stopped playing with the instilled restriction that certain coaching methods and played with a freedom to use their skills, even if limited, properly.
Defenders giving no quarter in defence, midfielders likewise but in the midfield and attackers pulling defenders out of shape. No point having the best wingers or whatever players if they have their hands tied behind their backor in a footballer case boot strings tied together..

We're not playing in Midweek, we're playing in the Swansea.com.
