Two ex-Swans managers taking their teams to the World Cup 10:53 - Apr 2 with 1244 viewsAnotherJohn

A friend teased me by mentioning this in an email, but without names. Took me a minute to think of the answer, Probably most board members will be quicker than me, but this does suggest that our managerial recruitment is not the worst.

Depends if you mean distant past or recent. Recently we seem to be employing managers and getting players for them, then sacking the manager and starting all over again. The reason why we have been treading water in my opinion.

Agree about recently, but my thought was that there can't be many Championship teams that have more ex-managers in charge of World Cup 2026 teams.

Never forget hearing his pay off was 1.7m. Even then.

Would go as far to say that since the appointment of Martinez it would be hard to find another team in Europe to match our recruitment of raw inexperienced
managers that have progressed to the top level.

Christian Fuchs the latest. He is taking to the slog of grim battles at the very bottom with good humour seriousness and commitment. I love it when a man who has won the Premier leagues is animated like a teenager from Pill when the Port score a winner v Shrewsbury..
