| Man City - Impact on Transfer Market 23:35 - Oct 2 with 653 views | JACKMANANDBOY | City have been towards the top of transfer fees paid for a number of seasons. Often there's a domino effect, City pay £100M for a player from Club A who spend £50M for two players from Club B and Club C who in turn pay £35M buying players from Club D and Club E and so on. Is there going to be a reset of the transfer market and also wages as City throttle back and other clubs make sure that their finances bear inspection? [Post edited 2 Oct 23:35]

The thing is one of the rules is that the owners cannot just splash personal cash on transfers. Capex spending is fine but you can only spend income on transfers and wages. This government can have given them money but there are still rules around how much sponsorship etc any deal is worth. For example, one of our owners may have a vcash rich compnay and they can sponsor us but the deal has to be realisitc, they couldn't buy stadium naming rights for 10 years for 1 billion say. I don't know what all the rule breaks are but there are so many and for so much money I cannot see them not being hit harder than anyone else has ever been.

While that is true haven't they also cost clubs money by inflating the transfer fees and wages? When Sinclair went there from us he was on 60k per week, he wasn't on a third of that down here, how is that raise justified? Bony, when they sold him back to us his wages were damaging to us, it was a suprememly stupid move by our then owners (along with Ayew) for 2 players who became a financial problem amd probably cost us a chance of rebuilding and looking for promotion the next season. So yes, they spread much needed money out around some clubs, they raised prices and wages too. That has caused problems because now even bog standard players want too much money. They inflated the market, caused problems and now they are found to be massive cheats.

Great post Inorsy their appeal is dismissed and the authorities stay strong This club has shafted us all If their appeal is allowed or they are given a lenient punishment then fans will make every game for their players an ordeal Every club s fans united in hatred They need culling

I don’t think it can be understated enough as to how poor and downright amateurish a decision it was to bring Bony back. I raised it quite vociferously at the time. In fact, the poll is still accessible at the bottom of this post. Not too late to vote😏

I expected more from business men to be honest. The one thing I find shockingly lacking in football decisions is the psychological element. There was almost zero chance that Biny would have anywhere near the same impact coming down as he was going up in his career and thus should have been seen as ur=t was so obvious. There have been other incidents in=ver the years where the mind of an individual is not valued but his other abilities are. It’s a huge aspect of sport but given unequal prominence in my opinion.

I think they should be relegated but all 3 who get relegated by normal means should still go down, the divisions just promote an extra team. It probably won't happen, you're probably right, a low down team will probably suffer because of Citeh cheating.
