She was carrying ( not using) a walking stick. Both walking at a brisk pace.( i appreciate that cannot be judged on this alone) Some take advantage , others more than deserve. No harm asking for proof. Some carers may sell their tickets on, only human and worse happens.

Got to agree with you there Darren, it would appear the club has been too fair and a small minority' have taken advantage. We have one of the best facilities for disabled fans and their carers in the PL but there are plenty on higher level DLA who can attend a game without a carer.

Something that the club introduced. My understanding is that this is changing to only those disabled fans requiring a high level ( maybe medium as well but not sure) of care will also have a free ticket for carers. The level of care is assessed by either the council or the DHSS (not sure of that) for various things. The only thing, as ever with the club these days, appears to be communication. I ve been told that people are only finding out that the rules have been changed when they are on the point of renewing their their tickets and that they had not been notified beforehand by the club. Which if true is very poor. Ok to change the rules but surely this should be communicated to people after the renewal date for this year to give them time to plan and people to save for the next season. The people affected are still disabled, just deemed not disabled enough to require an additional ticket for a carer.
