Updating Kodi On Firestick 08:55 - Mar 29 with 1697 viewsSTID2017

Anyone know if you can load two versions of Kodi on Firestick at the same time ?
I want to have the latest version on there, but don't want to remove the old one until I know it's all working.

Dont think you can.

Do you have the first or second gen firestick? I must admit, I git second gen and put the latest kodi version on and its excellent.

I have Flawless and run that off iptv smarters and that is fantastic.

First generation.
It all works okay, but the latest version of Kodi I am using on my Desktop (17) is so much better than 16
Not sure if a stable version of 18 has been released yet but that should (I guess ) be even better
What is iptv smarters btw - never used that / them

As you say I couldn't have two versions.
However I decided to download version 17 and it's migrated all my addons anyway.
Just need to go through them all now to see which ones no longer work

I would recommend getting the 2nd gen. It seems much quicker.

Think you can get them for around £30 at present. If you do get one then I would recommend putting aptoide on through kodi.

Question not related to firestick.

I have a streaming box, using Kodi 17.6 durex build. Great for films etc, can't get any sports streams.

Trying to watch the golf, i've looked at youtube tutorials for sports addons, however with the build i'm using can't access the area where you 'add source'.

When i click on Systems - file manager it then comes up with a -z list of a root menu and doesn't give option of add source. Any help appreciated...cheers.

Anyone using this.
Tried it myself and couldn't find any streams working - even those I currently use such as Neptune Rising.
However in answer to the question - at bottom of root menu is add source.
Clickk this, click none, then add the new addree in the usual way, then go tonzip files and repository file, etc
