Congratulations England 11:12 - Jul 15 with 2190 viewscmajack

On winning the cricket world cup. Now won the football world cup, rugby world cup and the cricket world cup . Fantastic achievement for such a small country compared to some in the world. And before anyone asks, no I'm not English I'm Welsh.

They aren’t a small country at all in cricket or rugby terms. It’s hardly as if you’d expect them to lose to China, Brazil or Canada for example.

Still, great achievement to win a World Cup in any sport, whoever you are.

And the most arrogant species world cup.

Which they've won for the 89th year on the bounce.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

It’s funny that they forget it’s actually England ‘ &Wales’ when they finally find some success.

Just asking.

How many of the players were non-English?

quite a few
Morgan - captain - born in Dublin
Archer - bowled the vital super over - Born in Barbados
Stokes - man of the match - Born in new Zealand

they wouldn't have won it relying solely on "English players

That's why Wales should have it's own National cricket team.

It's only today, while reading up on the various comments about yesterday, that I found that, not only do Ireland and Scotland have their own National teams (which I knew) but so do Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man. And not exactly local I know but even Gibraltar have one.

How can anyone be happy with that.

Exactly. How any welsh person can support them i dont know.

Even Afghanistan has its own team ffs.

I would be quite happy for Glammy to fold if that is whats needed for a welsh team.

So ...say no to team England and Wales - makes me sick mun ... 🤢

For some, you don't speak for me or thousands of others.

It's a proud day to be Welsh every day, don't need some poncey sport to make me feel proud.

I just enjoyed watching a team I’ve supported since I was a nipper winning the biggest tournament there is in that sport. Others have different opinions and that’s fine isn’t it?
