Getting raped is bad enough, going to the police and all that it entails is quite an ordeal in itself, that's probably why they say a lot of rapes go unreported.
It may have taken her all this time to get her head in a good place to be able to talk about it, but that's just my assumption, a bit like you questioning why she didn't report it earlier, but I haven't been raped, so I don't really know. | |
