I didn't think the referee was bad yesterday, apart from the disallowed goal obviously. It was just a typical lazy referee decision of stopping a goalmouth scramble by giving an imaginary free kick to the defending side. Referees don't like goalmouth scrambles - they feel they need to step in for some reason.
It was nothing like the infamous Robert Madley penalty decision against Stoke, which followed a whole string of poor decisions against us that looked suspiciously like we were being done over. |  | | |

Yes indeed, and any managers assessment that he has put in from last season too. For me that’s where his proof is. He wouldn’t have just made that call for no reason, he must have some contemporaneous note stored somewhere from last season. Hopefully with the football league, refs go body, match assessors etc. | |

Looks like he has spent most of his time in the premier league as fourth official when not ruining championship games.
There’s nothing in the media to indicate an issue, but you can’t go making remarks like Cooper has without good evidential back up. We can’t find too much on Woolmer’s fourth official appointments in the championship since Cooper took charge at Swansea. He has been accused of being underhand by none other than Neil Warnock when it became evident that Woolmer was writing down private conversations they were having when Woolmer was a fourth official in 2017 | |
