I remember the John Poulsen case too. That said, many millions are raised for worthy causes and Craft members look after the families of those widowed for many years. Issue is,leaving can be rather tricky . It is a subject about which many are coy ,hence the lack of response here. It's why I'm a PS /FN legend and ask the questions people are afraid to ask

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

St Helens Road. At least they used to, the lodge is opposite the old Wilks music shop. I used to see them heading in from my old office. Absolutely all sorts used to head in there.

It is a club if people with similar values whose aim is not primarily self promotion. At least in principle. I used to go and meet fellow police officers who were mainly there for a drink, chat and gossip. Many a senior police officer was of lower station than a Lodge Master so it was a leveller,so to speak. Without doubt,it was well worth being invited to join for small business people but really no different to any other club . These days,I’ve no idea what goes on within a lodge but things will have changed and for the better.

I’m not, but the grand lodge in Long Acre is a magnificent building. Opposite the old King’s College Biophysics department on Drury Lane. The lodge in my town in very open- can be hired out etc.

Each trade, or organisation, or blokes in compatible jobs have their own lodges. Obviously there is contact between them. Ive only ever met 284 masons in my life 😂 None of them had strong knuckles.

I'm sorry about your anal problems, but as a copper, albeit now retired, surely you've dealt with more difficult people. Hang in there low hung.

| Freemasonary on 12:10 - Jan 9 with 475 views | BarrySwan | When I lived in Scotland in the eighties just about every man and his dog was in the masons from the store man in our works stores upwards, there appeared to be little in the way of secrecy and it seemed to be more of a working mans social club than anything else. Some time later after returning down here I was being shown round a friends dads small clothing factory and they showed me round the back room which stored a load of finished masons regalia that they had made to order. I must confess that I burst out laughing at the ridiculous aprons and pinafores and whatever else was laid out there and have burst out laughing ever since every time I've seen them prancing about in the gear on the television since, including the recent series on the TV. Its a touch worrying that the great and good feel the need dress up like that and then participate in the ludicrous ceremonies but each to their own I suppose. If they're enjoying themselves of an evening and not harming anyone, unfortunately when you're the member of a club where everyones pledged to give each other a helping hand in the manner that they do ( nothing wrong with helping each other of course in the normal neighbourly sense) then there will always be suspicions about contracts, jobs, getting away with stuff etc from those cynical about the organisation. Perhaps some of the brothers on here might consider starting up Swan Lodge 187 for those lost souls of us who would never be invited to join through the normal channels ( No apron or pinny for me please) [Post edited 9 Jan 2021 12:16]

Some see clergy in regalia As that too also grown men wafting incense around,or pastors handing out lumps of bread and black currant squash to represent the body and blood of a messiah. Or men with neck tattoos and women with a full sleeve of ink to complement a pumped up mouth . Chuck in a pieced nose and half a ear drilled out to be plugged with a big black button Each to his own
