The season ends as expected as Swansea City lose at Wembley 29th May 2021 17:34
The old Swansea City turned up at Wembley this afternoon, many swans fans will say this was a team not busting the gut that is needed to win a competitive game of football with the rewards so high. We potentially agree, but it was the negativity of the Swansea City’s first half performance that lost the game today. The coach we are sure will take the blame, it may well be his last game in charge of the swans, and if that’s the case, then we wish him well. 1

Where are we now though? All the loan players will go back, where are our defence without Guehi? Admittedly losing Hourihane is Christmas come early.

Then lets look at players we actually own. Will we keep Grimes? Will Ayew stay? Do we want Lowe to stay, he was quite useless today. Then there's Cooper, I bought our season tickets but if I have to watch another season of that dross I'll probably stay home and leave those of the same inclination as Andy Cole to have their fun.

We were rubbish, we were negative. We couldn't even manage a decent shot. Hourihane might as well have been sat in the stands, he would have made a better contribution from there. Which comes to the last question, how many of us want Cooper to stay?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Guehi is a cracking player, no doubt about it. We can however probably manage his loss. I would be surprised if anyone beats down our door after Grimes no matter how highly other people rate him.

You correctly identify Cooper as the major factor. If he stays we will need to move players on and replace them with Robotballers keen to run and run and chase long balls into channels. If he goes then we might have a chance to start putting things right.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

We won’t keep Ayew, nor Grimes, certainly to lose Guehi, and hopefully Hourihane.
Apart from that this is the side you will see next season. Obviously with a new manager and a few additions. We cut our cloth and bled a bit too much.
