Yes 10% of the adult population has refused the vaccine in the UK, 25% of the adult population in London have refused the vaccine. All adults have now be sent invites to have a vaccine. Clearly there are a few who are lost to the system, not registered with a doctor, old address, bit even those have had the opportunity to ring a helpline number to arrange.
Sadly it is almost a daily occurrence to hear of someone in hospital or close to death who has refused the vaccine and now say how stupid they were to refuse it.
Another worry is the fivefold increase in pregnant women needing hospital treatment. Only 1 in 12 expectant mothers have has a least one dose of the vaccine.
In mid July 160 women were admitted. In the last three days 125 pregnant women were admitted. No pregnant women who have had both doses has been admitted to hospital. [Post edited 26 Jul 2021 8:07]
